So this is me trying to practise bigger scale portriats. I really like the idea of full body portraits, as ones characteristics aren't all in ones face. I'm starting out nice and easy with head-hip, but I can still feel I have a lot of problems on the actual full body portraits. Oh well, the only thing to do is practise :D

Joe Bluhm

This is the guy who made me start art with his caricatures and his videos on YouTube. I cannot thank him enough. However, I hope someday to like him inspire someone else and hopefully make them as happy as I am at the moment :)

Jason Seiler

Alright, so this one is a little special to me.

If you don't know who this man is, prepare yourself for a treat. This is Jason Seiler, who is easily one of my favourite artist. His caricatures are outstanding, and is therefore my biggest inspiration. I really recommend visiting his blog (in fear of you never reading my blog again :'( ):

As for my caricature of him - I wanted it to be very respectful as I wanted it to be a Caricature of what he represents from me, and not just a whacky caricature. I'm afraid it became a little too 'respectful' and almost turned into a portrait... However, as an artist, I will never be satisfied with anything I do (I simply refust to ;)), but this is my best effort for now.

Obama Caricature

It's funny how most presidents have great faces for caricature.... From now on, I'm gonna vote solely based on caricaturebility (totally a word). It's lucky I'm from a country where all 9 political parties are Social democratic.
